MoCADA & Soul oF Brooklyn founder the energetic and dedicated Laurie Cumbo

Soul of Brooklyn Week is a celebration of the African Diaspora in Brooklyn.
This series of events highlights some of the businesses and cultural institutions that make Brooklyn a mecca of Black culture in America.

living in this wonderful borough, we headed over to the The Soul of Brooklyn launch party which premiered the highly anticipated website and guide book that will highlight the unique African Diaspora cultural and business renaissance taking place in the great metropolis of Brooklyn, New York!

there was a great interactive performance piece by
Kenya (Robinson) called Soul Clap, that was a lot of fun..

there was an ELECTRIFYING performance by Blitz the Ambassador,
I had heard about Blitz in passing but never really heard anything musically

I was really pleased with what i heard.. & I do want to know who that horn section was that he had on stage with him, they were ROCKING!!

one of our favorite jewlery designers EKI of Eki's Famous was in attendance
with some GREAT pieces (@ekisfamous)
