Soul of Brooklyn Week is a celebration of the African Diaspora in Brooklyn.
This series of events highlights some of the businesses and cultural institutions that make Brooklyn a mecca of Black culture in America.
living in this wonderful borough, we headed over to the The Soul of Brooklyn launch party which premiered the highly anticipated website and guide book that will highlight the unique African Diaspora cultural and business renaissance taking place in the great metropolis of Brooklyn, New York!

there was a great interactive performance piece by
Kenya (Robinson) called Soul Clap, that was a lot of fun..
there was an ELECTRIFYING performance by Blitz the Ambassador,
I had heard about Blitz in passing but never really heard anything musically
I was really pleased with what i heard.. & I do want to know who that horn section was that he had on stage with him, they were ROCKING!!

of course there were many more amazing vendors, food, music, art and Brooklyn give-away items (which we WON) and more!
Inside MoCADA the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts.
(which was hosting the vent) there was a Soul of Brooklyn photography exhibition, featuring images by brooklyn's own Malik Yusef.
