then the music came on...i appreciate the style & sonic quality of their music heres the info on them..go check them out, if you're a bit tired of being fed cookie cutter music, you may like them..

So it was one night in mid 2005 when producer Pike found himself at a party in a Turkish restaurant watching an impromptu two song set by Maple Bee. Pike didn’t know anything about Maple apart from he had to work with her. Bending the truth completely he approached Maple and asked if she could sing on some tracks he had written. Pike didn’t have any songs or even a full set up for Logic Audio. But the connection had been made.

A year later the two, as Huski, had recorded over 40 songs, of which 10 were put together to make the album “Love Peace Pain”. With Pike and Maple co-writing all the songs and Pike producing and playing all the instruments this was a happy accident indeed…

“Love Peace Pain” is a stunning album. From the intoxicating industrial rhythms of “Make Me Your Picture” to the Kate Bush styled ballad “Everything Changes”, from the robotic electro of “Urtica” to the dark pop of “Undatow”, from the easy summer feel of “Easy Life” to the epic yet simple piano led melodies of “You Will be Adored”. Diverse and eclectic influences – from electro to pop to dance to leftfield alternative to ambient and everything else in between – and moulded into a unique and engaging album. Although the majority of the album is produced and mixed by Pike, Simon Gogerly (Gwen Stefani, U2, Lamb, New Order) approached the band about working with them and consequently has mixed a number of the tracks.

The Huski album artwork and live shows will be closed fused with art, design, photography and film. James Sutton has created the visual side of the Huski experience. www.jamessutton.net

From bassist with her sister’s band, cult rock act Queenadreena, to singer and songwriter with the Mediaeval Baebes (whose latest single she has written), to guitarist/vocalist with much respected rock band Vertigo Angels, Maple Bee is an accomplished singer and songwriter. 2004 saw the release of Maple Bee’s solo album “Chasing Eva” (“the feline electronica of Portishead, the tremulous intimacy of Tori Amos and the off beat avant folk of Kirsten Hersh” – Q magazine / “Inspired, enchanting stuff” – Independent On Sunday). “Around The World In A Day”-like the album was self written, produced and played.

Huski will be touring later this year…

The Huski album “Love Peace Pain” is released through Xie Recordings.
Xie Recordings is distributed through Cadiz/Pinnacle.

A WEEK IN THE LIFE - Record Shopping!!

SEE PICS BELOW

Hey Everyone, we wanted to give y'all a few pics of
a week in the life of LADY & A TRAMP
So Here we go,

A WEEK IN THE LIFE - "part 1 - Record Shopping"

Like many hip hop & hip hop influenced producers we have a love for old dusty vinyl... Soul , Rock, Electronic, Hip Hop, Disco, Jazz and EVERYTHING in between...We had to get out and feed the need so we went to one of our favorite "quiet" record shopping spots in our own brooklyn HALCYON The Shop, in the trendy brooklyn area known as DUMBO (Down Under Manhattan Bridge Overpass)

we happened to go at of the many times they have the shop double as an "Art Gallery"
This day was the opening day of of:

JAMES TOP
"Collabo"

A James Top One Man Show With Friends

James Top was a well known graffiti artist from East New York & Bed-Stuy. During a span of 30 years he's become a legend. This guy was a big part of this hip hop sub-culture (grafitti), look him up, theres a lot of his work online. I remember the T.O.P crew were KINGS of the J line in brooklyn, James, dondi, Hurst, In One..the pieces were awe inspiring!!

TRAMP
LADY & A TRAMP

Precise checking a stack of "ILL" soundtrack joints!!

HALCYON The Shop

Trust me that record was tight!!!

Diggin' in the crates never looked so good!! (two of the reasons I love her, she loves records and she's beautiful..Wow)

PRECISE with Grafitti LEGEND "JAMES T.O.P"

Tramp "Gettin' Up" (i'm a straight up Hip hop dude..Dj'n, grafitti, Breakbeats, up-Rock..the works)

A lot of "writers' were there that night we all tagged a board that was raffled off

Took that one right home to meet Battery 3 and Recycle 2.....LOL

Some of james Top's work at HALCYON

Da Mill is currently 7 studio's and office space (still building more) in an over 10k square foot facility

today we are writing and producing new music for a multitude of artists and styles, so we have the talented Tahayah Lewis and Mark Wolff (New co-writers with DM) over to do some writing with us, (click their names to check them out)

Precise & Tahayah in "writing room" 7, cooking up a treat!!
