So We went to see The incomparable Whodini perform at Von King Park In Bedstuy
(Down the block from where we live in Clinton hill)

We rolled to this one with the Homies D. Prosper & Ebony Wildcat

The Crowd was AMPED!!!

to say we were HYPE is an understatement...unfortunately
Whodini was stuck in Atlanta in the airport and didn't perform,
Grandmaster D was in attendance and proceeded to rock the crown with a set of Whodini hits

right before Brooklyn made some noise as...

I was waiting for him to do Cinderfella Dana Dane..but he ROCKED !!

( that joint sounded so new and fresh..that I was waiting for Hot Dog to come out)

it was a great show...high energy and great sound system!!!

The dapper artist has proved himself to be a triple threat in the music, television and fashion industry by simply exuding a bit of his southern charm and injecting a bit of class and style in the often comically thuggish world of mainstream Hip Hop. Coinciding with the debut of Bentley’s new show “From G’s To Gents” he now releases a new video “Everybody” featuring Andre 3000, Kanye West and Sa-Ra, from his long delayed debut album titled “C.O.L.O.U.R.S.”

(An acronym for Cool Outrageous Lovers of Uniquely Raw Style). The track introduces Bentley’s unique rhyme style and cadence over a distinctly electro, funk, rhythm and blues canvas that recalls Andre’s “The Love Below” masterpiece. For good measure 3K drops an ill verse and Kanye does the chorus & a bit of acting and choreographed dancing as Sa-Ra bangs on the instruments.

Noel is an extremely talented artist from Boston,
signed to EPIC records (originally signed to Columbia records)..

we put together this street soul gem for him a year ago..and it just started taking off this year after steve Harvey got behind the song and played it every morning (on his morning show)
for months!!..

well Epic finally got around to doing a video for it...
in our opinion, they veered from the obvious great visual it could have been..
but hey at least it's out..

YOUTH AT RISK
Volunteer Appreciation Day 2008

Youth at Risk (YAR) is a not-for-profit, volunteer driven organization committed to transforming the chaotic lives of young people through persistent and compassionate mentoring.

Since 1985, Youth at Risk (YAR) has committed to transforming the lives of disadvantaged youth who exhibit maladaptive behaviors such as truancy, violence, gang membership, physical and verbal violence, and at-risk sexual activity.

Their mission is to decrease the at-risk behavior of youth and to enhance the effectiveness of the people who live and work with them. Youth At Risk currently provides both prevention and intervention services.

I was lucky enough to be a part of this great organization when i was younger and it helped me immensely..


An integral part of all Youth At Risk programs is the adult volunteer who becomes a Mentor. Volunteers are trained using a specific and effective curriculum, designed by us, to maximize each young person’s chance to succeed. The Committed Partner Mentor develops a one-on-one relationship to support youth, identify their needs, and declare personal projects with timelines.

To gain a better understanding, you should attend one of their weekly First Orientation Sessions and learn more about Youth at Risk's mission and the expectations of being a mentor.
